Docierge Disaster Assistant — The assistant that works when nothing else does

What is Docierge Disaster Assistant?

Docierge Disaster Assistant is an offline-first desktop app for Windows, macOS, and Linux. It runs a searchable database of ~211,000 hospitals, shelters, and emergency resources, 113 first-aid and disaster guides, a local AI planning agent (Hermes-2-Pro 7B, no cloud), and an opt-in evidence-graded literature engine — all on a device you own. No network required. No API key. No data leaves the device by default.

Six capabilities

  1. TRACE Search: Instant semantic search over ~211,000 records — hospitals, shelters, trauma centers, veterinary facilities. Results in milliseconds, distance- and relevance-ranked, no model required.
  2. Treatment Library: 113 authored disaster and first-aid guides across 13 hazard categories — CPR, severe bleeding, chemical exposure, wildfire, flood, mental health crisis, and more.
  3. Ask Docierge: Local Hermes-2-Pro 7B agent (in-process via llama.cpp) that calls tools, retrieves evidence, and cites every claim. GPU-accelerated when available; CPU fallback.
  4. Deep Research: Opt-in, PII-scrubbed literature engine querying PubMed, Europe PMC, and ClinicalTrials.gov with deterministic EBM/GRADE evidence ranking.
  5. Offline Maps: Leaflet-based map with street-tile sync. Device location never transmitted.
  6. Field Library: FEMA/Ready.gov hazard sheets and NOAA/NWS brochures, searchable and bundled offline.
